1991...the journey continues...
We
don't believe in hype. We don't cultivate the media, hanger-ons, pseudo
rockers...
We rehearse a lot. We play 'cause we love to. We have a loyal fan following. Our parents still don't approve, but we aren't flashy at least. We are just good clean "boys next door," playing rock!
We like being alone. We believe in creating music, not just reproducing it. Small shows, small audiences, small change this year. We never play for free. But who wants to pay a rock band playing 38 covers and 2 originals. Problems? You bet.
3 of us are losing interest. Not much work. Sunday practices become the alternate Sunday practices.
"Hello practice... oh! What no time? Ok. When next? Fine, call me when you can!" But no one calls. Shrug. No problem. I'll try again day after. I'm still dreaming.
September 25, 1991: We play our last show at LSR and take an optional sabbatical for one and a half years. We either cut an album or call it quits. John calls it quits pronto! Bye John. Who will call me on the phone to get some therapy now? Bye friend. Thanks for teaching me so much. My dream goes on.
There are going to be tough times ahead. Its now going to go from playing live at shows to no playing at all. Turns out to be vacation time for a few of us.
Little Doc Boy has bought himself a guitar, and taught himself A, G, D, C, F, Bm, E, Em. Can't play to save his life (even now). Oh and also F#m. Composes "Free." our 3rd song. Anuj co-writes "Where does love take us from here?" Where do original compositions take us from here. Where else but 1992..
